Trucker’s Daughter, based in Northern Colorado, walks a fine line between pure classic country, alt country, and countrypolitan, reflecting the band’s wide-ranging influences—everything from Merle Haggard to the Mavericks, Gram Parsons to Dwight Yoakam.

The band's newly released CD, "Broken Down Love," produced by Grammy award-winning musician Gene Libbea, is a genuinely original mix of classic tunes from the legends and stone country private-label numbers written by lead singer Michele Crockett. “Broken Down Love” mines the good times and the little disappointments of life in the classic country way. Full of gritty fiddle, twangy Tele, and a thumping upright bass, “Broken Down Love” will make you want to kick up your boots and dance.


“I grew up listening to Hank Sr., Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, Bobbie Gentry, and Patsy Cline,” says Crockett, whose father was a truck driver. “My dad logged many thousands of miles on the road listening to radio stations broadcasting out of Lexington, Nebraska, and Kansas City that never stopped playing the music of those great country legends. But I love a broad range of music, and I think that comes into play with the Trucker’s Daughter original tunes.”

Trucker's Daughter includes Michele Crockett (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Harry Crockett (fiddle and vocals), Mark Druyff (electric guitar), Bob Montgomery (upright bass), and many of the finest drummers in northern Colorado, including Jeff Finlin, Oscar Dezoto, Gary LaDuke, and Andy Sweetser.
